Different kinds of Love

Don’t read this if u didn’t see “Hunchback of Notredame” (Disney’s version )

Quasimodo and Frollo both loved Azmeralda , Quasimodo felt that love is like heaven’s light ( the light that came from heaven for him ) but Frollo felt that he must have or own Azmeralda and he also think of the love and sin ( as it appears in the lyrics )

Heaven’s Light Vs Dark Fire

Frollo’s kind of love leads him to trying to own Azmeralda in every possible way , legal or illegal , and he thought that if he couldn’t own her then she must burn .

Quasimodo’s kind of love leads him to letting her go , wishing her happy life and helping her with his best efford just to be happy with the one she choose , this is because Quasimodo thinks that love is heaven’s light not something or someone to own so if he just let the light go , the main source of light still exist to support more light .

try to see the movie and listen carefully to the songs to feel it .

Quasimodo: So many times out here
I’ve watched a happy pair
Of lovers walking in the night
They had a kind of glow around them
It almost looked like heaven’s light
I knew I’d never know
That warm and loving glow
Though I might wish with all my might
No face as hideous as my face
Was ever meant for heaven’s light
But suddenly an angel has smiled at me
And kissed my cheek without a trace of fright
I dare to dream that she
Might even care for me
And as I ring these bells tonight
My cold dark tower seems so bright
I swear it must be heaven’s light
